Touchscreen LCD and Beaglebone Black – Group Start-up Development

Our primary topic is helping MoCo Maker member Cheryl with her hardware/software start-up. We will assist in building a proof-of-concept prototype for a medical device. This first session will involve setting up a Beaglebone Black with a Linux system, and binding it to a touch-LCD screen.

Our goal is to get the LCD screen functional.

Eventually the screen will be a touch-control unit for the device. Let’s get making, and help make one member’s start-up take shape.

This topic is dependent on Cheryl’s availability and day-to-day capacities. During this series, if Cheryl is unable to attend, we will turn to our fall-back topic:
Research for a telepresence robot (what tablet to use), and video-streaming technologies.
