Solar tracking and ther solar measurements – Applied Hardware/Software

We are fortunate to have Paul Arveson presenting key concepts of solar tracking and measurements. Paul is a community member and Director at Solar Household Energy – http://www.she-inc.org/ This talk directly applies to our Turn Table project which will be a solar tracking device after our latest round of coding!

Imagine a device that you initialize with longitude and latitude. You give it the time of day and the device will automatically point to (and track) the sun. This is cool tech for research, but it is applicable to solar panels and clean energy. That’s what we are building, with the help of Paul.

Okay, so humans shouldn’t look into the sun, but our robots sure can!
